Day 1 : Arrive Bucharest

Arrival on Bucharest international airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Bucharest.

Day 2 : Bucharest – Sibiu (300 km – approx. 5hrs)

In the morning pick up from hotel and departure towards Sibiu. Visit on the way stop in Curtea de Arges – on of the oldest cities of Walachia, visit the Cathedral built in the Byzantine style, with Moorish arabesques, dated from 1526. Continue to Sibiu via Oltului Valley with a stop at Cozia monastery a fortified cloister dates from the foundation (1388). In the afternoon arrival in Sibiu visit the medieval city of Sibiu – selected the European Capital of Culture in 2007 – with its Large and Small Squares, the Liars’ Bridge, the Evangelical Church, the Clock Tower. Overnight at the hotel in Sibiu. (B)

Day 3 : Sibiu – Sighisoara – Brasov (220 km approx. 3 hrs)

In the morning departure toward Sighisoara – medieval citadel included in the UNESCO World Heritage; visit the Clock Tower museum, the roofed stairs that lead to the Church on the Hill, the house where Vlad the Impaler was born, enjoy walking thru the narrow streets of the citadel. In the afternoon return to Bucharest with a stop in the medieval city of Brasov with its historic center and the Black Church where you can find an impressive 4,000 pipe organ built in 1839 by Carl August Buchholz, Sfatului Square, and St. Nicholas church with the first Romanian school. Overnight at the hotel in Brasov.

Day 4 : Brasov – Bran – Sinaia – Bucharest (200 km approx. 3 hrs)

Full day visit of the castles from Prahova Valley. Visit of Bran Castle the fortress built in the 14th century, worldwide known as Dracula’s Castle, due to the American movie directors and continue with Peles Castle, former summer residence of the royal family of Romania, built in the 19th century by the first King of Romania – Carol the 1st. Nowadays this castle hosts an impressive collection of weapons and art objects. In the afternoon continue to Bucharest. Overnight at the hotel in Bucharest. (B)

Day 5 : Depart Bucharest

Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport flight back to hometown. (B)
